- I am just an average guy who lives in Minneapolis. This blog is a place to share my views on religion and hopefully a place to have civilized and logical discussions about religion, its origins, its purpose, and its validity. It is a place where religion can be questioned (as it should be). On this blog I am attempting to use logic to point out the flaws in religion. You do not need a lot of complex science to dispute many of religion's claims. Religion can be disputed with very simple logic that the average person should be able to understand.
Every human owes it to themselves to at least watch the videos and read the arguments on this blog. If you do that and you still think religion is a good thing...well, then you are not truly absorbing the information and you need to think harder.
Though I find the traditional concept of god hard to believe, I cannot rule out the possibility of some type of god (since religious people conveniently made god an invisible being who cannot be detected and exists outside of all that we know...again, very convenient).
Common sense and a basic familiarity with the laws of nature tell me that many things in The Bible are scientifically impossible. The Bible is simply a fairy tale and it's about time people starting using their brains in regards to The Bible and other religious texts.
Though I am doubtful of the existence of god, I am not against belief in god...I am against organized religion, and its attempt to spread lies and to deny science. Every religion attempts to invent a god, and every religion claims to know who god is and what his intentions are. The truth is that every god of every religion was simply made up...by humans. Some type of higher power MAY have started the universe, but no one knows anything about that higher power, or if it exists at all. Leaders and followers of religions are are all posers - claiming to know everything, but actually knowing nothing.

There is no valid or correct religion. The only valid belief is to accept that we don't know anything about how the universe began, so there is no point in following a religion that lies to us and claims to know about the universe and god. If god is such an intelligent being, he won't unfairly punish people for not worshiping him. In fact, if god is so intelligent, he won't expect anyone to believe in him. He would understand that as intelligent beings, many humans will question his existence and he would not punish us for using our brains and seeking truth. I would think that an intelligent god would appreciate and respect people who use their "god-given" brains. He would respect and appreciate people who question things and seek evidence.
This idea that god is a petty, vengeful, being who wants nothing more than to punish us for doubting him - that is simply a load of crap invented by religions to keep people from questioning the religion.
All religions are just made-up theories that were invented by humans throughout history. The leaders and followers of these religions will claim that their religions are true and correct, but they are just ignorant fools. Don't be another ignorant fool - use your brain. God would want you to use your brain.

The Reason Project is a nonprofit foundation devoted to spreading scientific knowledge and secular values in society. The foundation draws on the talents of prominent and creative thinkers in a wide range of disciplines to encourage critical thinking and erode the influence of dogmatism, superstition, and bigotry in our world. Basically - a group devoted to fighting the stupidity of religion.
Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster
The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is a religion invented by someone to make fun of how ridiculous relgions are. The notion that the universe was created by a spaghetti monster is just as ridiculous as any of the far-fetched beliefs created by Christians, Muslims, Mormons, or any other religious groups.

This God is emotionally unsatisfying... it does not make much sense to pray to the law of gravity [Carl Sagan]
perhaps the last post is like a person whom has never been in a river swimming pool or the sea(or dips a finger in it) whom discredits it and does mental gymnastics to prove the theory its rubbish. Self centred is believing everything one thinks. if we hang out with like thinking people our thinking is limited to that group conscience.

I looked up Authority in the dictionary and there's a sentence in there "have something on good authority"-having ascertained something from a reliable source.
Even known Atheist Dawkins authority has been proven un-reliable. the more study the more light! if we study from a weighing up of information from reliable sources both Christian & Non, rather than from a stance of looking for evidence to back our belief or non belief(not sure thats possible, thats a belief in its self), then as a purely analytical view the truths will appear. suggestion: List all your against Jesus & religion(not always the same thing) and look for proof! The Y-Jesus site has information & you can contact for verification/sources. You can tick the boxes true, untrue Possible.
