What about all the dead planets?

If god created our universe, why did he create an entire universe full of dead, worthless planets? Why would he create a GIGANTIC universe and only make one planet with intelligent life? Please answer me this.

There are entire galaxies full of millions of dead planets with no life at all. Why would god create so many worthless planets? Seems like a waste of energy to me. He must've just been really bored and lazy when he created planets like Jupiter and Uranus.

It is simply a matter of logic. The existence of so many dead planets suggests that the Earth was not created deliberately, but happened randomly.

A god may have laid down the principles by which the universe functions, but the universe developed and evolved on its own after it began - logic tells us that.

Many religious people say that the chance that particles and physics would align perfectly to create our earth is "1 in a trillion"...so god must have made it happen. They say its such "a long shot" that earth just happened to develop life. It's not a long shot. If the chances of life developing are one in a trillion, and there are trillions of planets in the universe, then the chances of one planet randomly having life are pretty good.

these are purely your opinions and thoughts and biases. there is no credible authenticated works in these 2 paragraphs to even begin to give thought to your arguments. in addition to, no one is going to believe someone who can't even properly spell "bored" or sounds like he's a 13 year old venting about something he knows nothing about. as a fellow "non-believer" i suggest you get some real facts and hard evidence before you give the rest of us a bad name.

Uh huh...wow..sorry I didn't spell "bored" properly - people make mistakes. Besides, you didn't capitalize properly, so that's just as bad, is it not?

This was simply a question posed to religious people to challenge their thinking.

I would honestly like to hear a religious person's thoughts on why got created a universe full of dead planets. It is simply a matter of logic. The existence of so many dead planets suggests that the universe was not created deliberately, but happened randomly.

Another point - in this blog I am attempting to use very simple logic and point out the flaws in religion. You do not need a lot of facts and science to dispute many of religion's claims.

but since we do know that the universe has not always existed, then to create the universe, wouldn't there have had to have been an abundant and astronomical amount of energy transfer to create the universe?
im not disagreeing with you, nor am i siding with anyone else; i'm just trying to observe issues from both sides and remaining un-biased.
thus, as many "truths" and claims as you make, you have to credit the opposition with questions of their own. and this is why to this day, science still cannot prove 100% that God did not exist, and cannot prove 100% that evolution is the sole explanation for life.

No one can really prove if god exists or not. Conveniently, religious people have made god an invisible being who cannot be detected in any way, so people will always have to consider the possibility of god.

What I am trying to do is challenge all of the notions about god that religions claim to be true.

God may exist, but a little logic will tell you that he is nothing like the god that most religions claim he is.

What I'm trying to point out is - No one knows anything about HOW god is. No one knows if he watches us or even cares about us. This idea that god cares about us is completely made up and has no basis. This is why all religions are wrong. They all claim to have the "right answers" in regards to god....but they are all just theories that different groups invented. Muslims have their version of god, Christians have their version, etc...they are all just made up ideas of what god is like and what he cares about.

Therefore...it's foolish to choose a specific religion and claim that it is "the right one."
