More Bill Maher with Richard Dawkins

The world could always use more Bill Maher...and more Richard Dawkins.

Bill Maher on religion in politics

Bill Maher and Mike Huckabee discuss religion

Bill Maher is one of the few people in America who sees the world without bias. The man talks about things that most people are afraid to talk about and he says things that NEED to be said. He is a voice for rational people throughout America (a country with not very many rational people right now). If more people listened to him and really tried to comprehend his points, America and the world would be a much better place.

BBC's World Have Your Say discusses miracles.

BBC's radio show World Have Your Say visted Portland recently and did a show where they asked people on the street if they believe in miracles and "divine intervention."

I was shocked and appalled at how many of these people attributed even the slightest good fortune to some type of higher power looking out for them. Something as simple as getting a new job or meeting a spouse was attributed to "god helping them" or "angels watching over them." This kind of thinking angers me so much. People are so narcissistic - they think their lives are so significant that god has assigned a team of angels to follow them around and make sure good things happen to them. But what about all of the bad things that have happened to them? When explaining their belief in miracles and guardian angels, they only mention the good things...they completely forget all of the tragedy and negative things that have happened to them and others.

What about all of the bad things that happen in this world? Where were your angels when those things happened? Some peope survive cancer and people will say "it's a miracle." But what about the millions of people who have died from cancer? Why didn't your little team of angels help those people? It's because there is no magical higher power that helps anyone. Accept it, you religious morons.

That's right - many of our early presidents and founding fathers were not fond of religion. America actually got dumber over the years...VERY disappointing.

Swine flu is an example of evolution.

Have any of you religious people realized that the Swine Flu is a perfect example of evolution in action? The Swine Flu, like many viruses, evolved from another virus. It changed on it's own and developed into a different virus. This is evolution. If evolution can occur on a small scale (such as in viruses), it can obviously occur on a larger scale and in large organisms (such as apes and humans). It's time to accept reality, religious people. Stop hiding behind the lies in your Bible and start looking at what the world is showing you.

Evolution VS The Bible - no contest

Evolution is quite real - many retarded people still don't believe in it. They prefer the lies contained in the Bible. It is so disturbing to me that at this point in history, people still believe in a fairy tale over science. Very, VERY disturbing.

TheAmazingAtheist: Are Christians Stupid?

Response to y-jesus.com

Haha...an anonymous poster left a comment on my last post and provided the link below, which attempts to prove Jesus rose from the dead.

http://www.y-jesus.com/body_count1.php

Well, first they start off by start off by saying:

"Jesus told his disciples that he would be betrayed, arrested, and crucified and that he would come back to life three days later. That’s a strange plan! What was behind it? Jesus was no entertainer willing to perform for others on demand; instead, he promised that his death and resurrection would prove to people (if their minds and hearts were open) that he was indeed the Messiah."

Well...we can never know if Jesus made this prediction at all. Jesus's prediction and anything else he did easily could've been fabricated by those who wrote the Bible. Why do religious people just assume that everything in the Bible is true? Jesus may have actually done a tiny fraction of the things the Bible claims he did. Just because the Bible says he predicted his death and resurrection, that doesn't mean it actually happened. They act as if the Bible is just as reliable as an audio recoring or video that was recorded last week. A story that was written by someone around A.D. 80 is not the most reliable source for anything. I wouldn't trust anything that is so old and unverifiable.

They claim this is how Jesus died on the cross:

"Jesus hung there for approximately six hours. Then, at 3:00 in the afternoon—that is, at exactly the same time the Passover lamb was being sacrificed as a sin offering (a little symbolism there, you think?)—Jesus cried out, “It is finished” (in Aramaic), and died. Suddenly the sky went dark and an earthquake shook the land."

Seriously? An earthquake shook the land? If that doens't sound like a made-up fairy tale, I don't know what does. So the Bible claims to know the exact time Jesus died? How can a book so old that could've been fabricated by anyone be taken as fact.

Let's see where it goes from here.

They go on to say:

"Some have proposed that Jesus lived through the crucifixion and was revived by the cool, damp air in the tomb–“Whoa, how long was I out for?” But that theory doesn’t seem to square with the medical evidence. An article in the Journal of the American Medical Association explains why this so-called “swoon theory” is untenable: “Clearly, the weight of historical and medical evidence indicated that Jesus was dead."

HISTORICAL AND MEDICAL EVIDENCE?!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! What evidence? Because the Bible says so? A bunch of old writings from over 2000 years ago qualify as evidence?

It then says:

"If Jesus’ body was anywhere to be found, his enemies would have quickly exposed the resurrection as a fraud. Tom Anderson, former president of the California Trial Lawyers Association, summarizes the strength of this argument:

"With an event so well publicized, don’t you think that it’s reasonable that one historian, one eye witness, one antagonist would record for all time that he had seen Christ’s body? … The silence of history is deafening when it comes to the testimony against the resurrection."19

So, with no body of evidence, and with a known tomb clearly empty, Morison accepted the evidence as solid that Jesus’ body had somehow disappeared from the tomb."

What?!! How can anyone possibly claim to analyze "evidence" and accounts that happend around 2000 years ago?!!!! So just because some old writings claimed something happened, we are supposed to believe them as fact?!!! Any number of fabrications could've been produced around that time to make it seem as though any of these things happened, even if they did not.

Another line:

"Each eyewitness account reports that Jesus suddenly appeared bodily to his followers..."

EYEWINESS ACCOUNTS?!!!! Seriously? 2000-year-old "eyewitness accounts" are supposed to be reliable? NO WAY! AGAIN - eyewitness accounts could've easily been fabricated as well...why are we supposed to believe any of these "eyewitness accounts" are even real?

Another ridiculous quote:

"Later, according to the eyewitness accounts, all the disciples saw Jesus on more than ten separate occasions. They wrote that he showed them his hands and feet and told them to touch him. And he reportedly ate with them and later appeared alive to more than 500 followers on one occasion."

Again - "eyewiness" accounts which could've been easily fabricated, and are unverifiable.

They go on:

"Legal scholar John Warwick Montgomery stated, “In 56 A.D. [the Apostle Paul wrote that over 500 people had seen the risen Jesus and that most of them were still alive (1 Corinthians 15:6ff.). It passes the bounds of credibility that the early Christians could have manufactured such a tale and then preached it among those who might easily have refuted it simply by producing the body of Jesus.”

So just becasue Paul wrote something around 2000 years ago, we are supposed to believe it's true? Again, "Paul" or whoever wrote these things, could've easily made it all up. They keep referring to the body of Jesus and how its absence proves the story to be true...how is that?

I could write a story on a piece of paper that says a man named Dave died and rose from the dead in 2008. I could then include in that story that many people verified it and there were witnesses. I can then bury that story in the ground for someone to find 2000 years from now - when someone finds it in 2000 years, are they supposed to believe it just because it's written on a piece of paper?

Another quote:

"Bible scholars Geisler and Turek agree. “If the Resurrection had not occurred, why would the Apostle Paul give such a list of supposed eyewitnesses? He would immediately lose all credibility with his Corinthian readers by lying so blatantly.”

AGAIN WITH THE SUPPOSED "EYEWITNESSES." No one stops to think that maybe, JUST MAYBE, Paul made up a list of names?!!!! How can anyone verify that these named eyewitnesses are real? In my Dave story, I could easily make up a fake list of 3000 witnesses and bury it along with the story...why would the people who find this list in 2000 years have any reason to believe it's true? HAHAHA!!! This is some funny stuff! I have to take a break from this for a while...this is just too funny.

OK...I'm back for some more laughs.

They go on to say:

"As if the eyewitness reports were not enough to challenge Morison’s skepticism, he was also baffled by the disciples’ behavior. A fact of history that has stumped historians, psychologists, and skeptics alike is that these 11 former cowards were suddenly willing to suffer humiliation, torture, and death. All but one of Jesus’ disciples were slain as martyrs. Would they have done so much for a lie, knowing they had taken the body?"

OK...any number of things could explain the disciples "baffling" behavior...here are a couple of possibilities:

Maybe the disciples were just plain crazy - I don't know why people never consider the possibility that the people in the Bible who do strange things might've just been insane. Many religious people over the years have done strange things in the name of their religions. The people of the Heaven's Gate cult all killed themselves because of their beliefs...did everyone in the world believe they were right just because their actions were so drastic? HELL NO! WE ALL JUST CONCLUDE THAT THEY WERE CRAZY NUT-JOBS!!! No one considers the fact that the disciples were just an older version of the Heaven's Gate people - nut-jobs!

Another explaination for the disciples strange actions - maybe the story never even happened and is completely made up....ANYONE EVER CONSIDER THAT? EVER CONSIDER THAT MAYBE THE BIBLE IS ENTIRELY FAKE? WHY WOULDN'T YOU CONSIDER IT?

The Bible was written over a period of 1400 to 1800 years and had more than 40 different authors....does that sound like a book that has any credibility? The Bible HAD OVER 40 AUTHORS!!!! IT WAS WRITTEN THOUSANDS OF YEARS AGO!!! IT COULD VERY WELL BE A COMPLETE FAIRY TALE!!!! WHY CAN'T PEOPLE CONSIDER THIS OBVIOUS POSSIBILITY?!!!

They go on further, but I can't take this anymore...I can't find one bit of information in this thing that is solid and reliable...nice try, religious fanatics.

Steve Parker's response:

Steve Parker has commented on my previous post with the following response:

"Hi Kramer

Unfortunately, your logic in this post is quite flawed.

Firstly, you say that we know that Christ was never resurrected because we know that resurrection is impossible.

You are rejecting the resurrection because you have decided that the resurrection is impossible. But how could anyone prove the resurrection of Christ if the evidence that is required to prove it rejected a priori?

It would be similar to someone saying that the earth is not a sphere because it is impossible for the earth to be a sphere. It is just circular reasoning.

Secondly, you say that no one can prove that anything in the Bible is true.

Well that is just patently false. For example, in Acts 18:12-17, a title is ascribed to an individual as Gallio, Proconsul of Achaia. For a long time, it was asserted that this designation was impossible. However, an inscription at Delphi was discovered that describes the title and dates for this person exactly as in Acts.

So this one fact, alone, is reason enough to reject your absolute claim that nothing in the Bible can be proved.

You request a 'SPECIFIC prophecy' that can be proved the Bible predicted.

Well... see Daniel 2:37-42 which names actual, real empires in succession before they existed. See Isaiah 44:22-45:1 where Cyrus is predicted by name before the events described.

Ezekiel 26:3-14 predicted the destruction of Tyre long before it happened -- and provides specific detail about how that would happen.

These are just a few and they are:

1. more than a vague guess
2. more than just reading a trend
3. they are highly unusual and not normally expected

So you are quite incorrect to say that it is not possible to demonstrate a Bible prediction."

Below is my response to Steve Parker:

We know resurrection is impossible because it goes against the laws of nature and physics (resurrection has never been proven to be possible, or even suggested to be possible).

No one has ever been recorded being resurrected. It has not been documented or observed in any way that can be proven...so it's safe to say resurrection is impossible.

Honestly - if you think resurrection is possible, you are either crazy or a moron. You really believe a person can be dead for a long period and then come back to life magically? Just by admitting to that, you are admitting to being quite insane.

Secondly...I'm not saying NOTHING in the Bible can be proven, but none of the "supernatural occurrences" can be proven.

Here's the thing about all of the Bible's prophecies - do you really know when the predictions were made and when those predictions actually came to "fruition?"

How do we know the Bible wasn't altered in some way after those occurances to contain the prophecies? The Bible and everything in it happened so long ago, there is no way to prove the order in which it was written, or if it has been altered along the way in order to make its prophecies seem to be true.

So...unless the Bible predicted a MODERN OCCURRANCE that happened in recent times (long after the completion of the Bible's writing), none of it's prophecies are valid. Give me a Bible phrophecy that came true recently (in the last 100 years).

You can't, can you? Well, how convenient...now that we have all the resources to record and prove such an occurrence, the Bible can't predict one. Doesn't that tell you something?

Why do religious people always assume that everything in the Bible actually happened (or happened in the order it says). The Bible could have been altered and changed plenty of times by now, and we would never know it because it was written so long ago. Of course, all of the predictions the Bible makes are things that actually happened later on in the Bible...how convenient - these things could've been made up, or the Bible could've been altered later on to add these prophecies after they happened.

VenomFangX

VenomFangX is a vlogger on Youtube who attempts to prove the existence of god and that Christianity is the correct religion. He claims that Christianity is the correct religion because the Bible predicts things that happen in the future. One of the things he says the Bible predicted is the resurrection of Christ - well, first of all, we know Christ was never resurrected because we know that resurrection is impossible. Second, even if it was true that Christ was resurrected, there would be no way to prove it...the only thing that says Christ was resurrected is the Bible itself...and no one can prove that anything in the Bible is true.

Someone please prove to me that any of the supernatural occurances in the Bible actually happened...you can't. Give me a specific prophecy that we can prove the Bible predicted (and I mean a SPECIFIC prophecy...not a vague one).

If God created the universe...then who created God?

Religious people say that the universe must've been created by a god, because the universe couldn't have just come from nothing. Well, based on that logic - god couldn't have come from nothing either. Who created god then?

So, based on that logic, we should not be worshiping god...we should be worshiping the creator of god....or the creator of that creator...or the creator of the creator of the creator...

If everything in the universe must be created by something, then god must've been created by something as well...no?

Religious people say the universe had to be created by a being, yet that being just happens to exist randomly? How come god is allowed to have no origin or explanation?

Where did god come from? Answer me this, religious people.

This does not prove that there is no god...it just proves that we know nothing about god. God may exist, but a little logic will tell you that he is nothing like the god that most religions claim he is.

So, we should all just accept that we don't know anything about god and we should agree that none of the religions are "right."

If NONE OF THE RELIGIONS ARE RIGHT...why would you follow a religion that is just a half-baked theory? It's time to give up on specific organized religions.

We should all just agree that we must be good to others and forget about the rest.

No one knows if he watches us or even cares about us. This idea that god cares about us is completely made up and has no basis. This is why all religions are wrong. They all claim to have the "right answers" in regards to god....but they are all just theories that different groups invented. Muslims have their version of god, Christians have their version, Jews have their version, etc...they are all just made up ideas of what god is like and what he cares about.

Therefore...it's foolish to choose a specific religion and claim that it is "the right one." There is no "right" religion, because none of them have the answers they claim to have. They are all just different theories coming from different groups.

Choosing a specific religion only divides people. Once you choose a religion, you are claiming that your religion is "the right religion" and all others are wrong. This only leads to conflict (and in many cases war and death).

Laci Green - why do atheists care about your religion?

What about all the dead planets?

If god created our universe, why did he create an entire universe full of dead, worthless planets? Why would he create a GIGANTIC universe and only make one planet with intelligent life? Please answer me this.

There are entire galaxies full of millions of dead planets with no life at all. Why would god create so many worthless planets? Seems like a waste of energy to me. He must've just been really bored and lazy when he created planets like Jupiter and Uranus.

It is simply a matter of logic. The existence of so many dead planets suggests that the Earth was not created deliberately, but happened randomly.

A god may have laid down the principles by which the universe functions, but the universe developed and evolved on its own after it began - logic tells us that.

Many religious people say that the chance that particles and physics would align perfectly to create our earth is "1 in a trillion"...so god must have made it happen. They say its such "a long shot" that earth just happened to develop life. It's not a long shot. If the chances of life developing are one in a trillion, and there are trillions of planets in the universe, then the chances of one planet randomly having life are pretty good.

We know nothing about god.

Most religions preach that one must be faithful to god and worship him or risk going to hell - BUT, where did people get this idea that god is so concerned with punishing people? even if god did create the universe, the concepts of heaven and hell were simply invented by man, and there is no indication that these things are real.

Anything is possible, and no one knows how the universe began...so I will grant you that it is possible that god created the universe, but we do not know anything else about him...such as whether or not he watches us like so many religions claim. we do not know any of god's QUALIITIES, TENDENCIES, or his DISPOSITION - these are things that every religion claims to know, but these religions have no basis for their specific prediction of how god behaves - these ideas about god were randomly created on a whim by the inventors of religions.

Having faith is not something to be proud of.

Having faith is not something to be proud of. I'm sick of people being proud of their faith. They say "I have faith" like it's some kind of badge of honor. When you say you have faith, you're basically saying "I don't use my brain." Let me explain.

Blindly believing in something when you have no proof or logic behind it is something to be ashamed of. Your large brain gives you the ability to reason, yet you ignore that ability. That is something to be ashamed of - you are purposefully making yourself dumber than you are.

All religions at some point in time were created by man for one reason or another. They are all equally false and invalid, as they are all simply a set of rules and beliefs that someone made up. In the times of cavemen, there was no religion. All religions were invented by people sometime after that. The only reason Christianity and Catholicism are so popular is because they happened to be in the right place a the right time. They gained popularity long ago, because back then people were ignorant and would believe anything they were told.

It is pure luck that these religions are so predominant today. It could've easily been any nubmer of religions that caught on. So - all religions are simply a bunch of phony ideas. To devote yourself to one specific religion and proclaim "this is the correct religion" is just insane.

It's time for people to stop being so "polictically correct" when it comes to faith. It's time for non-religious people to speak out against it. Faith should be criticized and mocked openly.

Let's say a person was answering a math problem and they said "2 + 2 = 6. I have faith that it does and that's my answer." That person would be mocked and thought to be crazy. Yet when people proudly say "I have faith that my religion is correct," it is socially acceptable and often applauded. Having faith in your religion is choosing to be dumb. It's about time people started speaking out against faith in larger numbers.

Percentage of NON-religious people by country:

In America: 12% (up from 8% in 1987)

In Sweden: 85%

Japan: 65%

France: 54%

Britain: 44%

In Britain (the closest country to American in culture) nearly HALF of the population are non-believers. Why are American's so dumb? I believe that because America is so large and spread out, many parts of the country have been isolated for a long time. People have not been exposed to different ideas because they have only been in contact with other people in their town (people who share the same beliefs). But in recent years, television and the internet are exposing them to other ideas. Americans aren't as isolated as they once were. The percentage of non-believers has risen from 8% to 12% in the last 20 years. People are turning away from religion. They are finally realizing how dumb it is.

Miss USA Candidate's Opposition to Gay Marriage

In regards to the Miss USA candidate's (Carrie Prejean) opposition to gay marriage:

In our current society (with access to the internet and television), everyone should know by now that homosexuality is a biological thing - people are born gay...therefore they deserve the same rights as EVERYONE else (including the right to marry).

Considering all that we know about homosexuality these days, people who still oppose gay marriage are just plain WRONG...PERIOD. It's just as bad as being a racist. Do you think blacks should not be allowed to marry?

The gay rights movement is the same as the civil rights movement - back then people thought it was ok to deny certain rights to blacks - now people know better...and by now people should know better in regards to homosexuals. If you are still against gay marriage at this point in history, you are a bigot and an ignorant moron. It's time for America to grow up and accept that people are born homosexual.

People should not defend Carrie Prejean's opinion...what she said was just as bad as saying "black people shouldn't be allowed to marry."

People keep defending her by saying it was brave of her to stand up for what she believes in. Adolf Hitler stood up for what he believed in as well. If you stand up for something that is wrong, you should not be commended. It is not commendable to simply stand up for something...you have to stand up for something that is right.

It's time for people to stop using the Bible as the ultimate authority on right and wrong. The Bible is an obsolete rag that needs to be retired. The Bible is fake and everything in it is a made-up fairy tale. The rules of the Bible were written a long time ago - those rules are obsolete and no longer apply to the world. The Bible was written back when people knew nothing. Do you really want to devote your life to such an obsolete book?

We understand the world much better now - people are born gay. It's the same as being born black, or asian. Would you deny blacks or asians the right to marry? NO! So gays should not be denied the right to marry, you ignorant hillbilly morons!!!

Top Ten Signs You're a Fundamentalist Christian

10 - You vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours.

9 - You feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were created from dirt.

8 - You laugh at polytheists, but you have no problem believing in a Triune God.

7 - Your face turns purple when you hear of the "atrocities" attributed to Allah, but you don't even flinch when hearing about how God/Jehovah slaughtered all the babies of Egypt in "Exodus" and ordered the elimination of entire ethnic groups in "Joshua" including women, children, and trees!

6 - You laugh at Hindu beliefs that deify humans, and Greek claims about gods sleeping with women, but you have no problem believing that the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary, who then gave birth to a man-god who got killed, came back to life and then ascended into the sky.

5 - You are willing to spend your life looking for little loopholes in the scientifically established age of Earth (few billion years), but you find nothing wrong with believing dates recorded by Bronze Age tribesmen sitting in their tents and guessing that Earth is a few generations old.

4 - You believe that the entire population of this planet with the exception of those who share your beliefs -- though excluding those in all rival sects - will spend Eternity in an infinite Hell of Suffering. And yet consider your religion the most "tolerant" and "loving."

3 - While modern science, history, geology, biology, and physics have failed to convince you otherwise, some idiot rolling around on the floor speaking in "tongues" may be all the evidence you need to "prove" Christianity.

2 - You define 0.01% as a "high success rate" when it comes to answered prayers. You consider that to be evidence that prayer works. And you think that the remaining 99.99% FAILURE was simply the will of God.

1 - You actually know a lot less than many atheists and agnostics do about the Bible, Christianity, and church history - but still call yourself a Christian.

Atheism is growing.....YES!

CNN - Atheists fearful of openly discussing thier views

This CNN discussion covers the tragedy of Atheism - Atheists are often feared by religious people because their beliefs disprove the flawed beliefs of religious people. It's sad that someone who seeks truth and evidence can be hated so much. I have great respect for atheists. They seek logic, proof and wisdom...last I checked, those were good things. It takes real balls to believe in logic and science despite the hate and negativity that people have for atheists. The black guy in this discussion is really dumb.

Bill O'Reilly is a Moron

Bill O'Reilly embarasses himself in this interview with Richard Dawkins - his arguments are immature and devoid of logic. What a dumb boob O'Reilly is.

WHERE DO HUMANS COME FROM?

Sorry to burst your bubble, religious fanatics...but we were not placed here by god. We did not magically just appear because god made it happen. We evolved from other species.

Evolution is real. You want proof? Well, we know for a fact that all humans originated from Africa and they migrated to other parts of the world. As they migrated into other climates and environments, their physical traits EVOLVED and changed to suit the conditions of their environment (lighter skin, lighter hair, facial features, etc). All of the various races we have today (white, black, asian, hispanic, etc.) evolved from a single race - black Africans. If all of those races evolved over just a few thousand years, then it is very easy to see how humans evolved from another species over the course of millions of years.

Humans did not always exist on this planet. That is a fact. Many species evolved and became extinct long before humans existed on this planet (the dinosaurs, for example). God does not simply place things on the planet whenever he feels a new species belongs here. The many species that have lived on this planet came to be because they evolved and developed from simpler organisms over millions of years.

Journey of Man: A Genetic Odyssey

This is a PBS/National Geographic documentary. Geneticist Dr. Spencer Wells uses genetic markers to track the migration of humans out of Africa and into other parts of the world. It is one of the most facinating documentaries I've ever seen. It also discusses how humans evolved from dark-skinned Africans into the various races we have on Earth today.

Bill Maher Discusses Religion on Scarborough Country

Every human owes it to themselves to watch this video and listen to Bill Maher's arguments. You really can't dispute Bill Maher's statements here...he speaks the truth about the world and about human nature.

Bill Maher is one of my heroes. He tackles truths that so many others will not or cannot.

George Carlin: "Religion is Bullshit"

George Carlin...another one of my heroes. This man uses his brain when it comes to god. Few people in this world are capable of that.

This is a sound clip taken from a radio show in which Adam Carolla discusses Atheism. Adam Carolla is an outspoken atheist. He is one of my heroes.

Coincidence VS Miracles and Signs

Religious people looks for signs in everything...signs that their god exists or signs that their god is speaking to them. Then when something good happens in their life, they consider it to be a "sign." They claim that it is proof that god exists and is watching out for them.
When something unlikely happens, religious people claim that it is a miracle. What they have actually experienced it just a coincidence...a random occurance that they have twisted into a miracle because they want to believe in miracles. They are comforted by the idea that god is looking out for them, so they twist every coincidence into a sign that god is taking care of them. This makes them feel better about the world. It makes them feel like the world isn't so random and senseless. They forget about all the suffering of others and only focus on their own good fortunes as a sign that god watches out for them.
If you compare the amount of suffering in the world to the amount of prosperity, I think you will find that the majority of people on this planet are suffering. What do religious people make of this? If god watches out for us and creates miracles to help us prosper, then why did he ignore all those other millions of people? The answer is that god doesn't affect anything. If there is a god, he is very "hands off." He is not helping anyone. The fact that one person is born into a prosperous nation and another is born into a third world country...that is simply a random occurance. It is very narcissistic to believe that god watches out for you, but he ignores most of the world...god isn't helping you. If you grew up with a good family and didn't struggle much...well,you simply got lucky - you won the parents lotto - you just happened to be born into a good family in a rich country - that is called pure luck - you were not blessed by god in any way...get over yourself.
